Tax Assistant (Mulund West)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Assistant to join our firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a fresher who is eager to build a career in taxation and accounting. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of Tally, accounting principles, auditing processes, GST, income tax, and TDS compliance. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and maintaining accurate financial records in Tally.
- Support in filing GST returns and ensuring compliance with GST regulations.
- Prepare and file income tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Assist in TDS computation, deduction, and filing of TDS returns.
- Conduct basic audits and prepare audit reports under the guidance of senior staff.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Provide support in day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting. Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime 7 and MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles, GST, income tax, and TDS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills.
