Purchase Manager (Theni)

Position Summary The Purchase Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing all procurement activities related to the solar industry. This role requires effective sourcing, negotiation, vendor management, and inventory control to ensure the timely supply of solar panels, electrical components, inverters, structures, cables, and other project-related materials. The Purchase Manager will work closely with project, engineering, finance, and operations teams to ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Planning
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies for solar materials and equipment.
- Coordinate with project and engineering teams to understand material requirements and forecast demand.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Monitor market availability and pricing trends for solar-related products.

2. Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contracts to achieve the best value.
- Conduct vendor performance evaluations regularly.
- Ensure vendors meet quality, safety, and compliance standards.

3. Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels of solar components and electrical materials.
- Establish reorder levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
- Coordinate with stores and warehouse teams for material tracking and stock verification.
- Ensure proper documentation of inward and outward materials.

4. Cost Control
- Track purchasing budgets and control procurement costs effectively.
- Compare quotations and prepare cost analysis reports before finalizing purchases.
