Senior Design Engineer (Thirumullaivoyal)

Job Title: Design Engineer – Automation (Fixture & Cavity) Experience: 2–5 Years (adjust as needed) Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer with experience in automation systems, specializing in fixture and cavity design. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical components used in automated manufacturing setups. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop fixtures, jigs, and cavities for automation and production lines
- Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software
- Collaborate with manufacturing and automation teams to ensure design feasibility
- Perform tolerance analysis and ensure precision in designs
- Modify and improve existing designs based on testing and feedback
- Support assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of automation systems
- Maintain proper documentation of designs and revisions Required Skills:
- Strong experience in fixture design and cavity design
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo
- Valuable understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC machining, sheet metal, etc.)
- Knowledge of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Basic understanding of automation systems and machine design
- Problem-solving and analytical skills Preferred Skills:
- Experience in automation industry or special-purpose machines (SPM)
- Exposure to pneumatics, hydraulics, or robotics integration
- Knowledge of material selection and cost optimization Education:
