Automation Specialist, Thrissur

Position: Automation Specialist / Automation Test Lead Location: Thrissur, KL Experience: 6+ years Job Overview We are looking for a strong Automation Specialist / Test Lead to build and lead test automation. You will write reliable automation scripts, guide the team, work in Agile projects, track quality using Jira, and explore how AI tools can make testing faster and smarter.Main Responsibilities Build and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright (preferred) and/or Selenium Write clean, reusable automation code in Java , JavaScript/TypeScript , or Python Automate functional, API, regression, and end-to-end tests during sprints Work closely with developers and product team in Agile (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews)Use Jira (with Xray or Zephyr) to manage test cases, defects, and report important QA metrics Run automation in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) Try and introduce AI-powered testing tools to save time, for example: AI to auto-generate test cases from requirements Self-healing tests that fix broken locators automaticallyTools like Playwright MCP, mabl, Katalon, or GitHub Copilot for smarter testing Mentor junior team members and do code reviews Help improve testing processes and reduce maintenance effort Must-Have Skills 10+ years of hands-on test automation experience Strong experience with Playwright and/or SeleniumGood coding skills in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python Solid knowledge of Agile testing Experience using Jira for test management and reporting Experience with modern AI testing tools Good to Have Experience leading small automation teams Familiarity with Cypress, API testing (Postman/Rest Assured), or mobile testing (Appium)CI/CD and Docker knowledge
