Key Responsibilities1. Product&Process EngineeringLead design, development, and validation of auto components manufactured through MFPD / press forming processesEnsure feasibility of designs with respect to tooling, dies, material selection, and press capacityDrive DFMEA, PFMEA, APQP, PPAP, and Control PlansSupport new product development from concept to SOP2. Tooling&Die DevelopmentOversee die design, die trials, and die optimizationCoordinate with tool room, die makers, and external vendorsEnsure reduction in die try-outs, rework, and downtime3. Manufacturing Support&Process ImprovementOptimize press shop processes for productivity, yield, and cycle timeDrive cost reduction, scrap reduction, and efficiency improvement initiativesImplement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma practicesResolve complex manufacturing and quality issues4. Quality&Customer InterfaceEnsure compliance with OEM standards and automotive quality systems (IATF 16949)Act as the technical interface with customers for design reviews, engineering changes, and auditsLead root cause analysis for customer complaints and field issues5. Project ManagementLead new program launches within defined timelines and budgetsCoordinate cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, SCM, Maintenance)Monitor project milestones, risks, and resource allocation6.
