Field Service Engineer – Solar Power Systems & EV Charging Kerala / Tamil Nadu (Field Role) Full-Time | Service & Operations About the Role We are looking for a Field Service Engineer with hands-on experience in solar power systems and EV charging infrastructure. This is a field-based role requiring strong technical troubleshooting skills, independent site handling capability, and the ability to guide labour teams for panel cleaning and system maintenance. If you are confident in handling On-Grid, Off-Grid, Hybrid Solar Systems and EV Chargers, this role is for you. Key ResponsibilitiesSolar System Service & Maintenance
- Diagnose and troubleshoot:
- On-grid solar systems
- Off-grid solar systems
- Hybrid solar systems
- Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
- Perform preventive maintenance checks.
- Identify and rectify low generation issues.
- Conduct inverter configuration and monitoring setup.
- Coordinate with OEM technical support when required. Panel Cleaning & Labour Supervision
- Guide and manage labour teams during:
- Solar panel cleaning
- Minor rectification works
- Structure and cable tray cleaning
- Ensure no damage to modules during cleaning.
- Inspect system integrity after cleaning.
- Ensure proper use of safety equipment.
- Submit before-and-after service reports with photos. EV Charging Systems
- Install and test AC & DC EV chargers.
- Verify earthing and protection systems.
- Configure charger network connectivity.
- Troubleshoot charging failures.
- Educate customers on safe usage. Site Reporting & Documentation
- Submit service reports within 24 hours.
- Maintain breakdown logs.
- Record warranty cases.
- Upload monitoring screenshots and data.
- Maintain spare tracking records. Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- Solar PV systems (On-grid / Off-grid / Hybrid)
- AC & DC electrical systems
- Lithium & Lead-acid batteries
- Earthing & surge protection
- Ability to read Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
- Basic laptop skills for monitoring portal configuration
- Ability to independently handle site visits Education & Experience
- Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics
- 2–5 years of relevant field experience preferred
- Experience in rooftop solar service is an advantage
- EV charging experience is an added advantage What We Expect
