We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team developing technology solutions that support clinical trial operations, data workflows, and compliance-driven processes. This role will oversee software delivery, mentor engineers, partner with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with regulatory expectations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical leadership, people management experience, and familiarity with healthcare or clinical research systems The Software Engineering Manager leads a team responsible for designing, building, and maintaining software products that support clinical trial operations, data management, and regulatory workflows. The role ensures high-quality delivery, strong engineering practices, and close alignment with clinical, data, and product stakeholders. **Total Experience : 15+years** **Key Responsibilities** + Lead, mentor, and develop software engineers, including coaching, performance reviews, and career growth planning. + Own delivery of cloud-based and web-based applications that support clinical trials and related operational processes. + Work with clinical operations, data, product, QA, and regulatory teams to translate business needs into technical solutions. + Guide architecture, design reviews, code reviews, and engineering standards to improve quality and maintainability. + Improve software development lifecycle practices, including CI/CD, test automation, and deployment efficiency. + Ensure compliance with healthcare and clinical research expectations, including data privacy, auditability, and regulated development practices. + Manage planning, prioritization, and roadmap execution for engineering work aligned to business goals. **Preferred skills** + Experience with SaaS platforms, clinical trial applications, or healthcare technology. + Familiarity with .NET, Java, Python, Angular/React, Azure, SQL/NoSQL, cloud and DevOps tooling. + Experience working with cross-functional teams in regulated environments. + Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. **What ICON can offer you:** Our success depends on the quality of our people.
