Senior Credit Manager – Residential (Tumakuru)

ABOUT THE ROLE

APW Finance Pty Ltd is a growing Australian mortgage business seeking an experienced Credit Manager to join our India-based operations team. You will oversee a small team of credit analysts, manage the end-to-end loan assessment pipeline, and serve as a key liaison between mortgage brokers, clients, and settlement agents — ensuring every file meets Australian lending compliance standards from submission through to settlement.

Salary: Remuneration is fully commensurate with experience. Candidates with robust ANZ Bank or Australian mortgage industry backgrounds will be rewarded accordingly — we value the right expertise and pay competitively for it.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage a team of 3–4 credit analysts, providing day-to-day guidance, quality oversight, and performance support
• Monitor and manage the mortgage brokers inbox, triaging and prioritising incoming loan applications and queries
• Review all submitted loan files for compliance with Australian regulatory requirements (NCCP, responsible lending obligations) and lender policies
• Assess residential and commercial mortgage applications, identifying risk factors, documentation gaps, and credit merit
• Liaise with customers directly to clarify application details, request supporting documents, and provide timely loan status updates
• Coordinate with settlement agents to facilitate smooth and timely loan settlements, managing any issues that arise pre- and post-approval
• Conduct periodic loan reviews and assist in continuous improvement of credit assessment processes and workflows
• Prepare credit reports and escalate complex or non-conforming applications to senior management as required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5 years in a credit manager or credit analyst role- Australian Mortgage Industry experience
• Direct experience with Australian residential and/or commercial mortgage products
• Solid understanding of Australian lending compliance and NCCP obligations
