Job Posting: Electrical Engineer – Glass Processing Unit
About the Role
We are setting up a recent glass processing plant at Bilota, near Udaipur, and are looking for a seasoned Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical infrastructure, installation, and commissioning of the facility. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in industrial power distribution, switchgear, and power quality systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, install, and commission electrical systems for the glass processing plant, including HT/LT distribution, motor control centers (MCCs), and control panels.
Oversee selection, installation, and maintenance of Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCBs), ACBs, and associated switchgear.
Design, deploy, and maintain Active Harmonic Filters and capacitor banks to ensure power quality and compliance with utility standards.
Prepare SLDs, cable schedules, grounding layouts, and electrical BOMs for the plant.
Coordinate with contractors, OEMs, and utility providers for erection and energization.
Ensure adherence to Indian Electricity Rules, IE standards, and safety protocols.
Lead troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and root-cause analysis for electrical failures.
Manage spares inventory and prepare CAPEX/OPEX budgets for the electrical department.
Required Skills & Experience
10–15 years of post-qualification experience in heavy industrial / manufacturing electrical systems.
Proven expertise in panel design & fabrication, VCB / ACB / switchgear operation & maintenance.
Hands-on experience with harmonic analysis, active/passive harmonic filters, and power factor correction.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical / EPLAN for drawing preparation.
Robust knowledge of relay coordination, protection settings, and energy metering.
Familiarity with DG sets, UPS systems, and SCADA/DCS interfacing is a plus.
B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
