Responsibilities

SUMMARY: The Infusion Registered Nurse provides high quality individualized direct patient care utilizing the skills and knowledge of the profession. Provides supervision to auxiliary personnel assisting with the delivery of patient care.

Job Duties & Essential Functions:

Accurately collects clinical data on patients and demonstrates competency in performing clinical interventions and reports abnormalities to Medical Provider. Provide high quality, skilled infusion therapy. Highly skilled at starting intravenous lines, accessing ports and PICC Lines. Monitor patient status and medication being administered for duration of infusion. Demonstrates competency in answering phones, assembling charts, patient registration, making appointments, computer data entry and retrieval of reports. Must safely perform all patient care responsibilities in accordance with professional standards and the organization’s policies and procedures. Develop and organize a plan of care in consultation with treating physician, as indicated within the various subspecialties of the Department.
