Role Overview Job Description for a Firewall and Netscaler specialist: We are seeking a skilled Firewall&NetScaler Specialist to support, operate, and continuously improve our network security and application delivery infrastructure. The role focuses on Palo Alto firewalls, Citrix NetScaler (ADC) platforms, advanced network troubleshooting, and increasing levels of automation. This position offers a long-term growth path toward senior engineering and architectural responsibilities in a global enterprise environment.Palo Alto Firewall Operations Perform day-to-day operations including monitoring, incident handling, and operational support Execute configuration changes and lifecycle maintenance Troubleshoot connectivity, Security policy, and routing-related issues Gradually contribute to architectural improvements and design enhancementsEnsure full compliance with corporate security standards and ISO 27001 documentation requirements Citrix Netscaler (ADC) Management Operate and maintain Netscaler infrastructure in daytoday business Configure new services, virtual servers, load-balancing, and persistence policies Manage SSL certificate lifecycleConsult internal customers during service onboarding and changes Implement monitoring and alerting for Netscaler-based services Network Troubleshooting&Analysis Conduct deep-dive traffic analysis using Wireshark or similar Tools Support troubleshooting in SD-WAN based global network troubleshooting (nice to have) Basic Linux expertise for system checks, troubleshooting for diagnostics Automation&DevOps Develop, maintain, and enhance automation scripts (preferably Python and Ansible) Contribute to the build-out of automated workflows and internal orchestration systems Shift operational tasks away from manual work toward standardized, automated processes Work with Git-based versioning, VS Code, and modern development workflowsTooling, Processes&Documentation Use and support ITSM&workflow, work with JIRA and SMAX (future focus on SMAX) Support the definition and improvement of IT workflows and approval processes Produce technical documentation aligned with ISO 27001 requirements Collaborate with global teams in an English-speaking environment Qualifications&Experience 3+ years of hands-on experience in network or security engineering Strong experience with Palo Alto firewalls (PCNSE certification is a plus) Hands-on experience with Citrix NetScaler / ADC platforms Exposure to SD-WAN concepts and hybrid network models Good understanding of TCP/IP, routing,load balancing, SSL/TLSPractical experience with scripting (Python, Ansible) and Git workflows Basic Linux knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities would be an advantage Fluency in English (written and verbal) Soft Skills Structured, reliable, and independent working style Strong communication skills across globally distributed teamsProactive mindset with willingness to learn and evolve High customer orientation and solution-driven thinking Working Conditions Time-zone overlap with Europe is not mandatory, but occasional alignment may be required Weekend or off-hours work may be necessary during major migration activities, but only rarelyOccasional international travel may be required Long-term growth path toward engineerplusarchitect responsibilities
