Job Title: MEP Design Manager – Industrial & Commercial Projects Location: Vadodara, Gujarat, India Experience: 10–15 years Salary: ₹1,30,000 – ₹1,50,000 per month (negotiable for the right candidate) Job Overview Baseline is seeking an experienced MEP Design Manager to lead multidisciplinary MEP design activities for industrial and commercial projects. The role focuses on design management, technical reviews, engineering coordination, BIM integration, and timely delivery of high-quality design solutions. This is a design-focused role; candidates with primarily maintenance, operations, or facility management experience will not be considered. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage MEP design activities across multiple industrial and commercial projects.
- Review and approve HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical, and utility system designs.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, project managers, and external consultants.
- Ensure design deliverables meet project requirements, applicable codes, and industry standards.
- Manage project schedules, design milestones, and resource allocation.
- Review engineering calculations, equipment sizing, technical specifications, and BOQs.
- Conduct design reviews and resolve technical issues during project development and execution.
- Oversee BIM and multidisciplinary design coordination activities.
- Participate in client meetings, technical presentations, and project discussions.
- Guide and mentor design engineers, designers, and BIM teams.
- Coordinate with site teams to address design-related queries and support project execution.
- Ensure timely submission of engineering deliverables and documentation. Qualification & Experience
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10–15 years of hands-on experience in MEP design consultancy, engineering design, or EPC design environments.
- Solid experience in industrial and commercial project design.
- Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary MEP design teams.
- Sound knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical, and utility systems.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing engineering calculations, equipment sizing, BOQs, technical specifications, and design deliverables.
- Familiarity with BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, and relevant engineering software.
- Strong project management, leadership, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Experience in handling multi-disciplinary design coordination for large-scale projects will be preferred.
- Excellent communication, technical review, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience primarily in maintenance, operations, facility management, or plant maintenance will not be considered.
