Senior Process Engineer (Vallam)

- Develop manufacturing processes for CNC/VMC machining operations
- Prepare:
- Process flow charts
- SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Work instructions
- Cycle time studies
- Select suitable machining methods, cutting parameters, tools, and fixtures
- Machining cycle time
- Tool life
- Machine utilization
- Production efficiency
- Improve setup reduction and machining accuracy
- Support CNC programming and machining parameter improvement
- Study engineering drawings and BOMs
- Define machining sequences and inspection points
- Coordinate with design, production, quality, and maintenance teams
- Analyze process defects and implement corrective actions
- Support Lean Manufacturing / Kaizen / 5S activities
- Reduce rejection, rework, and downtime
- Monitor shop floor machining processes
- Process specifications
- Safety standards
- Quality requirements
- Troubleshoot machining and process-related issues
- Required Skills
- Knowledge of CNC/VMC machining processes
- Understanding of GD&T; and engineering drawings
- Process optimization and cycle time analysis
- Familiarity with CNC programming concepts
- Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Production Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering Experience
- 5-8 years in:
- CNC machining industry
- VMC manufacturing
