Role Summary The Associate Network Engineer will support the implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Yakkaservices network and communication infrastructure across offices and project sites.
The role will assist in managing LAN, Wi-Fi, firewall, VPN, IP telephony, CCTV, IPIS network connectivity, and endpoint network access to ensure secure and reliable business operations.
Key Responsibilities 1.
Network Infrastructure Support Assist in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting LAN, WAN, VLAN, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity.
Support network setup for branch offices, project sites, and temporary site locations.
Maintain structured connectivity for desktops, laptops, IP phones, printers, CCTV, access control, and other network devices.
Support single-cable desk connectivity where IP Phone and laptop share the same network point using separate VLANs. 2.
Firewall, VPN, and Security Support Assist in managing Fortinet firewall policies, routing, NAT, VPN, and access rules.
Support FortiClient VPN configuration for employees and remote users.
Monitor basic firewall alerts and escalate suspicious activity to senior IT team members.
Ensure users and devices are connected through approved secure network access methods.

Switching and VLAN Management Assist in configuration and troubleshooting of managed switches.
Support VLAN segmentation for corporate data, voice, CCTV, guest Wi-Fi, access control, and site networks.
Help maintain port mapping, switch documentation, and device connectivity records.
Coordinate with vendors for switch, firewall, and network hardware-related support.
4.
Wi-Fi and Guest Network Support Support Fortinet-based corporate and guest Wi-Fi networks.
Assist in captive portal configuration and user access control for guest users.
Troubleshoot Wi-Fi coverage, authentication, and performance issues.
Monitor access point health and escalate hardware or configuration issues.
5.
IP Telephony and Communication Systems Support IP phone connectivity, extension configuration, and basic troubleshooting.
Assist in maintaining centralized Matrix IP PBX and SIP connectivity across offices and sites.
Support softphone users and remote communication setup where applicable.
Coordinate with telecom and PBX vendors for issue resolution.
6.
CCTV, Access Control, and ELV Network Support Support network connectivity for CCTV cameras, NVRs, access control panels, PA systems, and other ELV devices.
Assist in centralized CCTV monitoring connectivity from the head office.
Troubleshoot basic camera/access control network issues in coordination with the ELV team.
Ensure network segmentation and secure access for ELV systems.
7.
IT Service Management and Documentation Log, update, and close network-related tickets.
Maintain documentation for IP address allocation, VLANs, network diagrams, firewall rules, VPN users, and device inventory.
Assist in preparing network handover documents for new offices and project sites.
Follow IT policies, change management procedures, and approval workflows.
8.
Vendor and Site Coordination Coordinate with ISPs, firewall vendors, PBX vendors, and project/site teams for issue resolution.
Assist in new office/site network readiness checks.
Support installation, testing, and commissioning of network devices at office and project locations.
Ensure proper labeling and basic quality checks during network implementation.
Requirements Required Skills Basic understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLAN, routing, switching, VPN, and Wi-Fi. Hands-on knowledge of routers, switches, access points, firewalls, and structured cabling.
Basic troubleshooting skills for internet, LAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN issues.
Familiarity with Fortinet firewall, FortiClient, FortiAP, and managed switches will be preferred.
Understanding of IP phones, CCTV networks, access control networks, and ELV systems will be an added advantage.
Ability to maintain technical documentation clearly.
Qualification Diploma / Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, ECE, Networking, or related field.
CCNA certification will be preferred but not mandatory.
Experience 04 years of experience in network support, IT infrastructure, ELV networking, or system administration.
Freshers with strong networking knowledge and practical exposure may also be considered.

3–6 years of experience in AV commissioning or integration.
Hands-on experience with Logitech, Cisco, Poly, Barco, Crestron, Kramer, or Extron systems.
Knowledge of network and IP-based AV deployments.
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Industry certifications (e.g. CTS, Crestron/Extron certifications) are a plus.
