Production Manager – Chemical Plant (Vapi)

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and supervising chemical plant production operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing while maintaining quality standards and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities 1. Production Operations Management
- Plan and manage daily production activities as per production targets.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and raw materials.
- Monitor batch/process operations for smooth plant functioning.
- Maintain production schedules and minimize downtime. 2. Process & Quality Control
- Ensure products meet required quality and specification standards.
- Coordinate with QA/QC team for testing and approvals.
- Monitor process parameters and implement corrective actions when required.
- Maintain batch records and production documentation. 3. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures and chemical handling standards.
- Implement PPE, SOPs, and emergency response procedures.
- Maintain compliance with environmental and statutory regulations.
- Conduct safety training and safety audits. 4. Team Management
- Supervise operators, supervisors, and production staff.
- Allocate shifts and manpower planning.
- Train and develop production personnel.
- Maintain discipline and improve team productivity. 5. Maintenance Coordination
- Coordinate with maintenance department to reduce equipment breakdowns.
- Plan preventive maintenance with minimum production loss.
- Ensure equipment availability and plant reliability. 6. Cost & Productivity Improvement
- Reduce process losses and improve yield.
- Control production cost and optimize energy/material consumption.
- Implement process improvements and productivity enhancement initiatives.
- Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement programs. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.SC) / M.Sc / Diploma in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Min. 5 Years Experience in chemical manufacturing or process industry.
- Knowledge of chemical plant operations, SOPs, and safety regulations.
