Job Title PPIC Assistant Manager (Production Planning & Inventory Control) Department Supply Chain / Operations Location Vapi, Gujarat Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented PPIC Manager to lead Production Planning, Material Planning, Inventory Control, and cross-functional coordination activities in a regulated pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical manufacturing setting. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted production through effective planning, inventory optimization, procurement coordination, and on-time delivery while maintaining compliance with GMP and regulatory standards. - Lead end-to-end Production Planning & Inventory Control (PPIC) activities for manufacturing operations.
- Prepare monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on sales forecasts and business priorities.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and critical inventory.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, Manufacturing, QA, QC, Engineering, Regulatory, and Supply Chain teams for smooth execution.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory optimization strategies to avoid stock-outs and excess inventory.
- Track production schedules and ensure adherence to dispatch timelines and customer commitments.
- Conduct capacity planning and resource utilization analysis for efficient plant operations.
- Manage ERP/MRP systems for planning, inventory tracking, and material requirement planning.
- Prepare MIS reports, planning dashboards, inventory reports, and KPI presentations for management review.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for planning accuracy, OTIF, inventory turns, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Handle vendor coordination and follow-up for critical materials.
- Support audits, validations, technology transfers, and new product launches from a planning perspective. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Engineering, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Supply Chain, or related field.
- MBA / PGDM in Operations or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage. Experience Required
- 8–15 years of relevant experience in PPIC, Supply Chain, Production Planning, or Inventory Management.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, sterile, injectables, vaccine, medical device, or regulated manufacturing industry is mandatory.
- Exposure to SAP/ERP/MRP systems is highly preferred.
- Experience handling regulatory and GMP-driven environments is essential. Required Skills
