Location: Singrauli, Tehsil Sarai, Madhya Pradesh (The Project site is approximately 300 Kms from Varanasi and 200 KM from Reva) Project Scope:
- School Building: Provide educational facilities for children of miners' families, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.
- Hospital Building: Establish a healthcare facility with basic medical services for miners and their families, focusing on primary healthcare needs, preventive services, and emergency care. Objective/Deliverables:
- School Building: Ensure the creation of a safe, functional, and sustainable educational environment for the children of miners' families.
- Hospital Building: Oversee the development of a healthcare facility that caters to primary medical services, preventive care, and emergency medical needs for miners and their families. Job Summary:
The Project Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire construction process of the School and Hospital Buildings, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards. The manager will handle all aspects of the construction project, including project planning, scheduling, civil construction, coordination with architects, procurement, regulatory compliance, safety management, and project closeout. This position requires close collaboration with various teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop Detailed Project Plan:
- Project Scheduling: Create and maintain a comprehensive project schedule, breaking the project into phases with clear milestones for completion.
- Resource Allocation: Ensure the timely availability of resources (labor, materials, equipment) to avoid construction delays.
- Timeline Management: Continuously monitor project progress and manage deviations from the established timelines, taking corrective actions as needed. 2. Budget Management:
- Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for all phases of the project, including materials, labor, and other overheads.
- Expense Monitoring: Monitor expenses regularly, ensuring that expenditures align with the budget and proactively managing potential cost overruns.
- Risk Management: Identify any risks of cost overruns and implement corrective actions to keep the project within budget. 3. Team Coordination:
- Supervision of Site Workers: Manage a diverse team, including subcontractors, laborers, engineers, and suppliers, to ensure that tasks are executed effectively.
- Task Delegation: Assign appropriate tasks based on team members' expertise and skills to ensure productive project execution.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain continuous communication between engineers, architects, contractors, and all stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression. 4. MEP Coordination:
- Systems Integration: Ensure the seamless coordination between mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems with civil and architectural components (e.g., HVAC ducts, plumbing, electrical wiring).
- Detailed Scheduling: Coordinate schedules and work between various contractors to minimize conflicts and delays. 5. Compliance & Quality Control:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that construction work adheres to local building codes, regulations, and environmental standards.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct frequent inspections to ensure that construction meets the required specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Safety Standards: Monitor adherence to safety protocols and standards, ensuring that the site complies with OSHA or local safety guidelines. 6. Risk Management:
- Risk Identification: Proactively identify potential issues, such as delays, material shortages, or adverse weather conditions, that could impact project timelines and quality.
- Contingency Planning: Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure minimal disruption to the project. 7. Reporting:
- Progress Reports: Regularly update the project head and key stakeholders on the status of the project, including timelines, costs, challenges, and resolutions.
- Stakeholder Updates: Ensure all involved parties are kept informed of any changes to the project’s schedule, scope, or budget. 8. Final Handover:
- Closeout Procedures: Ensure that the project is completed to the highest standard, with all inspections, quality checks, and unresolved issues addressed before handing over the site to the client.
- Documentation: Complete all final project documentation, including warranties, manuals, and final reports for the school and hospital buildings. Qualifications:
- Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E. Civil) or equivalent.
- Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or construction management (e.g., CCM) are a plus.
- Experience:
- 15
- 25 years of experience in construction management, specifically in building construction projects such as schools, hospitals, or other infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record of overseeing projects from planning through to successful completion, with experience in managing teams, budgets, and schedules.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
