Django Backend Engineer (Remote Consultant, 2–4yr Exp) …, Bangalore Urban

We are looking for a highly experienced Django developer with strong real-world backend engineering expertise to join our team for a 3-month contract role. This is not a beginner or “vibe coding” role. We need someone who has built, deployed, scaled, and maintained production systems with high concurrent traffic and complex backend architecture. Duration & Compensation

- Compensation: ₹25,000/month

- Strong hands-on 2-4 years experience with Python and Django
- Deep expertise in Django REST Framework (DRF)
- Proven experience designing and building scalable RESTful APIs
- Experience developing production-grade backend systems from scratch Production & Scalability
- Experience handling 1000+ concurrent users
- Robust understanding of backend performance optimization
- Experience with caching, query optimization, async processing, and API rate handling
- Hands-on production deployment experience using Linux servers, Nginx, Gunicorn/Uvicorn, Docker, CI/CD, etc.
- Ability to monitor, debug, and maintain live production environments Database Expertise
- Advanced PostgreSQL knowledge
- Experience with:
- Query optimization
- Indexing
- Database scaling
- Complex relational schema design
- Transaction handling
- Performance tuning Real-Time & Advanced Features
- Experience handling streaming video systems
- Experience with GPS/location-based services and proximity search
- Strong knowledge of WebSockets / Socket.IO / real-time communication systems
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and background task systems
- Experience with Redis, Celery, Kafka, or RabbitMQ
- Experience with cloud deployment (AWS/GCP/DigitalOcean)
- Knowledge of security best practices and scalable architecture
