Django Backend Engineer (remote Consultant, 2–4yr Exp) …, Bangalore Urban

We are looking for a highly experienced Django developer with strong real-world backend engineering expertise to join our team for a 3-month contract role. This is not a beginner or “vibe coding” role. We need someone who has built, deployed, scaled, and maintained production systems with high concurrent traffic and complex backend architecture. Duration & Compensation Contract Duration: 3 Months Compensation: ₹25,000/month Remote preferred Required Skills & Experience Core Backend Expertise
- Solid hands-on 2-4 years experience with Python and Django Deep expertise in Django REST Framework (DRF) Proven experience designing and building scalable RESTful APIs Experience developing production-grade backend systems from scratch Production & Scalability Experience handling 1000+ concurrent users Strong understanding of backend performance optimization Experience with caching, query optimization, async processing, and API rate handling Hands-on production deployment experience using Linux servers, Nginx, Gunicorn/Uvicorn, Docker, CI/CD, etc. Ability to monitor, debug, and maintain live production environments Database Expertise Advanced Postgre SQL knowledge Experience with: Query optimization Indexing Database scaling Complex relational schema design Transaction handling Performance tuning Real-Time & Advanced Features Experience handling streaming video systems Experience with GPS/location-based services and proximity search Strong knowledge of Web Sockets / Socket. IO / real-time communication systems Experience integrating third-party APIs and background task systems Experience with Redis, Celery, Kafka, or Rabbit MQ Experience with cloud deployment (AWS/GCP/Digital Ocean) Knowledge of security best practices and scalable architecture We are specifically looking for an experienced Django engineer with strong practical production experience — not someone relying purely on AI-generated coding or superficial framework knowledge.
