Role Description: This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Project Manager AI/ML. The Project Manager (AI Projects Focus) will be responsible for driving project velocity, instilling enthusiasm and accountability within the team, and enforcing strict deadlines to ensure timely delivery of AI initiatives. This role requires expertise in managing AI projects, conducting test-eval cycles, and maintaining team momentum. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical knowledge of AI systems, and the ability to inspire a high-performance culture within the team. Job Responsibilities: Velocity Management:
- Continuously monitor and accelerate project velocity by identifying and addressing bottlenecks.
- Ensure all team members are consistently productive, with clear and actionable tasks.
- Set and enforce strict deadlines, ensuring timely sprint completion. Team Motivation and Leadership:
- Foster enthusiasm within the team by celebrating milestones and maintaining a positive work environment.
- Act as a motivator and mentor, ensuring team alignment with organizational goals.
- Encourage accountability and ownership of tasks among team members. AI Project Expertise:
- Leverage knowledge of AI development processes to guide teams through complex projects.
- Provide hands-on support in designing workflows, ensuring AI model quality, and maintaining performance.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure AI systems are scalable, robust, and well-documented. Testing and Evaluation:
- Develop and implement comprehensive test-eval strategies to validate AI models and ensure quality standards.
- Collaborate with QA teams to create frameworks for continuous monitoring and retraining of AI systems.
- Ensure test results are actionable and lead to measurable improvements in model performance. Communication and Reporting:
- Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders, translating technical insights into actionable recommendations.
- Prepare detailed reports on sprint velocity, test outcomes, and overall project health. Process Optimization:
- Identify inefficiencies in workflows and implement strategies for improvement.
- Align cross-functional teams to ensure smooth collaboration and minimize project delays. Must Have Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, AI, or related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in managing end to end AI Projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AI development (model design, test-eval, monitoring) and tools like Pinecone, MongoDB, BigQuery, Python, and Git.
- Project Management: Proven experience managing high-velocity AI projects with strict deadlines.
- Leadership: Robust ability to motivate teams and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Expertise in test-eval cycles and delivering measurable results. Nice to Have Qualifications:
- Remote Team Management Experience: Experience managing teams in a remote environment, ensuring effective communication and productivity.
- Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, managing dependencies and ensuring smooth coordination.
