Candescent is looking for a highly talented Mobile Software Engineer to develop cross-platform mobile applications for its Digital Banking division. You will be responsible for the full life cycle development of mobile applications using modern frameworks and technologies in an Agile environment. Required Skills & Experience
- Education: BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Industry Experience: 7+ years in the IT industry, with a minimum of 4+ years specifically building and delivering apps using React Native.
- Platform Expertise:
* Minimum 3+ years of experience in Android (Kotlin, Java, Android Studio).
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in iOS (Swift, Objective-C, Xcode).
- Technical Proficiency
- Expert in analyzing, designing, implementing, and troubleshooting mobile applications for highly transactional systems.
- Experience building React Native plugins using native code (Java/Kotlin and Swift).
- Solid working knowledge of Redux, React, Expo, and Jest.
- Proficiency with REST APIs, XML, and JSON.
- Languages: Swift, Objective-C, Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, React JS, HTML, and CSS.
- Process & Mindset:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Proficient with the Agile software development life cycle.
- Experience writing unit test cases and following Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills and a "can-do" attitude as a team-oriented team player. Preferred Skills & Experience
- Deep technical knowledge of distributed architectures.
- Background working on highly scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) frameworks or automated testing tools for mobile development.
- Familiarity with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodologies.
- Cross-functional expertise in implementing DevOps and CI/CD practices for mobile.
