Senior Manager - Production (Ingot and Wafer) (Visakhapatnam)

Job Purpose This position will work in the Production function for a 6.0 GW scale Mono Crystalline Ingot-Wafer Manufacturing Plant in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Roles and Responsibilities Responsible for Production management & control of Mono Crystalline Ingot-Wafer Manufacturing facility. Responsible for Manufacturing excellence measures to benchmark international competition on Cost, Quality and Delivery. Besides, should be able to meet annual targets, e.g., BOM Consumption, OPEX cost reduction, quality improvements, OEE & TPM initiatives. Responsible for building a team of best-in-class resources in the industry and for creating a pool of successors for future expansions Preparation & management of departmental budgets Responsible for Proper Manpower Planning in Ingot-Wafer area for smooth and safe operation. Leading role with Process/quality department for implementing current/Improved process Responsible for engaging and developing large workforce of direct and contractual manpower. Ensuring day wise & shift wise delivery volume of tools to meet Annual Business Plan (ABP) targets. Scheduling various training on chemical/material handling and safety norms to operators and team members. Close Cooperation with maintenance team to reduce Breakdown & increase UPTIME. Monthly Work In Progress (WIP) & Shopfloor inventory analysis and corrective measures. Responsible for Chemical Distribution System operation & compliance as per safety and EHS norms. Profile & Eligible Criteria
- More than 10-15 years of experience in production and management.
- Thorough Knowledge on various lean Manufacturing concepts especially in Silicon based crystal growth techniques
- Conduct daily pass-down meetings and escalate line issues if any
- Study work orders, instructions, formulas, and processing charts to determine specifications and sequence of operations.
- Oversee manpower/overtime and consumables planning
- Ensure manufacturing and safety procedures are being followed
- Conduct training/coaching to leaders & operators to improve performance
- Implement ideas and improvement activities to prevent human errors
- Ensure good discipline and housekeeping in the line
- Coordinate with other departments to support projects, evaluations and preventive maintenance activities in the fab
- Experience on initiatives of various internal improvements like Kaizen and implementation at manufacturing level towards safety/Productivity and cost reduction
- Knowledge of crystal growth process and crystal quality issues and its impacts on quality of final product
- Knowledge on Crystalline Silicon Wafer Manufacturing process. Experience in cell and module production process will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of ISO- Standards and procedures and Basic Safety Knowledge (Fire-safety, Waste Management, etc)
- Good communication and Presentation skills
