Financial Controller (Chennai)

Hiring: Controller – Purchase, Finance & Accounts We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented professional to lead and integrate the functions of Costing, Purchase, Finance, Banking, and Accounts for a growing EPC and green ventures organization. This is a strategic leadership role requiring solid financial discipline, operational understanding, cost control capability, and experience in funding initiatives for future growth businesses. Key Responsibilities Cost Control & Commercial Management
- Head the Costing Department and drive project cost monitoring and optimization initiatives.
- Conduct regular cost review meetings with Operations, Projects, Procurement, and Management teams.
- Develop systems for cost tracking, budget control, margin improvement, and project profitability monitoring. Purchase & Supply Chain Oversight
- Lead the Purchase function with responsibility for procurement governance and commercial discipline.
- Oversee vendor management, procurement planning, cost optimization, and purchasing controls.
- Ensure alignment between project execution requirements and procurement strategy. Finance, Banking & Accounts Leadership
- Take overall responsibility for Banking, Finance, and Accounts functions.
- Lead treasury management, working capital planning, banking relationships, cash flow management, and financial controls.
- Ensure robust accounting systems, statutory compliance, reporting accuracy, and financial governance. Strategic Funding Initiatives
- Support and lead strategic funding initiatives including:
- Green debt financing
- ESG-linked funding
- Equity participation initiatives
- Fund raising for renewable and green ventures
- Interface with banks, financial institutions, investors, and funding agencies. Candidate Profile ✔ Qualified CA / CMA / MBA Finance / Equivalent Professional Qualification ✔ Minimum 15+ years of experience in Finance, Costing, Purchase, Commercial, or EPC environments ✔ Strong experience in:
- Project costing and commercial control
- Procurement and purchase management
- Banking and treasury operations
- Accounts and finance leadership
- Working capital and cash flow management ✔ Experience in EPC, Infrastructure, Industrial Projects, Process Plants, Renewable Energy, Sugar, Distillery, or Manufacturing sectors preferred ✔ Exposure to green financing, ESG initiatives, project funding, or renewable ventures will be an added advantage Key Attributes
