Role Description The Chef De Partie will assist the Head Chef in preparing high-quality dishes and managing day-to-day kitchen operations. Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, maintaining quality control, ensuring food safety standards, and creating new recipes as per the restaurant’s cuisine. The role requires efficient inventory management, proper portioning, and cost control to minimize waste. This is a contract role based on-site at The Oberoi Hotel in Chennai. Qualifications
- Proficient cooking and food preparation skills, with specialization in one or more cuisines.
- Cold Kitchen experience required
- Abilities in culinary techniques, plating creativity, and menu development.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and inventory management.
- Leadership and team management skills, with an ability to mentor junior kitchen staff.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or relevant field required.
- Previous experience in a supervisory kitchen role in a fine dining restaurant or luxury hotel preferred.
