Role Description As an Application Engineer – Machine Vision Systems, you will design, configure, and deploy machine vision and inspection solutions for manufacturing customers. This is a full time, on-site role based in Chennai. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing customer requirements, selecting appropriate cameras, lenses, lighting, and software tools, and developing application logic for inspection, measurement, and defect detection. You will set up and calibrate vision systems on production lines, conduct trials, optimize algorithms and parameters, and document system configurations. The role also involves troubleshooting issues, providing technical support and training to customers, collaborating with sales and project teams on solution proposals, and ensuring that deployed systems meet performance, reliability, and quality targets.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in machine vision concepts, including image acquisition, lighting, optics, and basic image processing techniques.
Experience implementing or supporting industrial automation solutions, such as PLC-based systems, robotics integration, or factory automation lines.
