Role Description The Manager – Employee Transportation will oversee end-to-end employee commute operations for client organizations, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective transportation services. This full-time, on-site role based in Chennai involves managing daily fleet deployment, route planning, and shift-wise scheduling in coordination with transport vendors and internal stakeholders. The role includes monitoring service performance, handling escalations, and ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. The manager will be responsible for data tracking, generating operational reports, and driving continuous process improvements to optimize costs and enhance employee experience. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including facilities, security, HR, and technology partners, will be essential to deliver seamless, reliable transportation services. Qualifications
- Proven experience in employee transportation, fleet operations, or facilities management, preferably in large or multi-shift organizations.
- Strong operational and analytical skills, including route planning, demand forecasting, and use of dashboards or MIS reports to drive decisions.
- Vendor and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to negotiate, manage SLAs, and coordinate with multiple external and internal partners.
- People management capabilities, including team supervision, shift planning, and performance monitoring for on-ground staff.
- Knowledge of safety, security, and statutory compliance related to employee transport, including local regulations and company policies.
- Comfort with transport and mobility technologies such as routing software, GPS tracking, and transport management platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle escalations and provide transparent, timely updates to leadership.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24x7 operational environment, including flexibility for shift-based support when required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Operations, or a related field; relevant certifications in transport or logistics are an advantage.
