Oracle Apps Database Administrator (DBA) Location: Chennai, India Employment Type: Full-time Job Function: Information Technology / Database Administration Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Apps Database Administrator (DBA) to join our enterprise technology team in Chennai. This is an urgent, critical role responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity, security, and high availability of our core Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.x) applications and database infrastructure across on-premise hardware, appliance platforms, and cloud environments.Key Responsibilities Deployment&Lifecycle Management: Install, configure, patch, clone, and upgrade Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.x) and associated Oracle Database versions (12c/19c) across development, test, and production environments. High Availability&DR: Manage and optimize Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), ACFS, and Data Guard configurations. Design, implement, and validate rigorous backup and disaster recovery procedures. Performance Tuning: Proactively monitor system performance and execute advanced tuning strategies at both the database and application tiers.Application Services: Administer concurrent managers, system workflows, and Apache services to guarantee operational continuity. Security&Compliance: Regularly apply and validate Oracle Critical Patch Updates (CPUs) and mandated security patches. Automation&Maintenance: Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate repetitive system maintenance tasks and monitoring protocols. Collaborative Support: Partner with developers, functional analysts, and cross-functional infrastructure teams to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges. Technical Qualifications&Requirements Demonstrated professional experience as an Oracle Apps DBA specializing in E-Business Suite platforms. Hands-on working knowledge of managing enterprise databases hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Practical experience working with Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) hardware configurations.Deep proficiency in Oracle RAC, Data Guard setups, and Unix/Linux shell scripting. Familiarity or prior experience with Primavera and WebCenter Content is considered a distinct advantage. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to operate effectively under tight production timelines.
