Ready to shape the future of mobility with usYOUR ROLE As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer , you will play a critical role in owning, supporting, and evolving Aptiv's embedded edge software platforms for automotive data logging and connectivity. You will work extensively with complex legacy systems, lead technical problem-solving efforts, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring high reliability of production software.YOUR ROLE Own and drive support, enhancement, and maintenance of embedded edge software across Linux and RTOS-based systems Lead investigation and resolution of complex production issues involving legacy and mission-critical code Design and implement robust C++ solutions for automotive data acquisition and communication systemsMentor and guide junior engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and best practices Collaborate with global, cross-functional stakeholders to ensure system stability, quality, and performance YOUR BACKGROUND Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline8–14 years of experience in embedded software development with advanced C++ expertise Strong hands-on experience with embedded Linux systems and shell scripting In-depth knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet Experience working in automotive or embedded product organizations, with exposure to production systemsWHY JOIN US You can grow at Aptiv.
