Project Manager - Industrial Automation (Chennai)

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage project execution to achieve targets as per the finalized schedule.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, with zero defects, and within budget.
- Support process owners to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain strong client relationships through regular updates and transparent communication.
- Coordinate with the Purchase Department for vendor development and inspection, placing orders efficiently to prevent excess inventory.
- Review project execution status with process owners, document challenges, and report to Execution Heads.
- Assess resource requirements and coordinate with Execution Heads and HR for necessary actions.
- Identify and implement training needs for the project team in collaboration with HR.
- Conduct regular performance appraisals for team members and coordinate with HR on development actions.
- Address and resolve customer complaints related to warranty and post-warranty issues.
- Ensure standardization in logic programming across projects.
- Oversee daily work reports submitted by the project team, addressing challenges as needed. Qualifications:
- Engineering graduate (Bachelor’s degree in relevant field).
- Minimum 8 years of project management experience, preferably in automation or industrial solutions. Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience with drives (e.g., Servo, VFDs, PowerFlex, Sinamics).
- Experience in rubber industry, mixing solutions and material handling solutions will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, MS Visio) and software.
- Familiarity with connectivity software (OPC, Kepware).
- Knowledge of Rockwell/Siemens hot redundancy (hot backup) systems, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, Ethernet, Profinet.
- In-depth understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
- Vendor management and procurement process experience.
