**Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst
- Java & DevOps** The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior-level role responsible for leading application development and DevOps enablement across enterprise platforms. This position requires strong hands-on engineering capabilities combined with DevOps ownership to deliver scalable, resilient, and well-governed solutions. **Responsibilities** + Act as a **hands-on senior engineer** responsible for designing, coding, reviewing, and delivering critical enterprise applications. + Lead development of **Java JEE and Java-based microservices** using Spring Boot, aligned with contemporary engineering and architecture standards. + Drive **DevOps practices end-to-end** , including CI/CD pipeline creation, enhancement, and governance. + Own **application containerization** and runtime deployment using Docker and Kubernetes-based platforms. + Design and maintain **CI/CD pipelines** using Jenkins, Tekton, and Harness, including: + New pipeline creation + Branching and release strategy management + Automation and efficiency improvements + Manage **environment lifecycle and stability** , including server maintenance, upgrades, patching, and configuration. + Oversee **certificate lifecycle management** , including creation, renewal, compliance validation, and operational readiness. + Support legacy application modernization by enabling automation and migration toward strategic platforms and containerized deployments. + Champion **automation and innovation** , identifying opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve reliability. + Implement and support **monitoring, logging, and performance management** solutions. + Utilize **AI-assisted engineering tools** (e.g., Copilot, Devin) to improve developer productivity, code quality, automation, and delivery efficiency. + Provide mentorship to junior engineers and drive engineering best practices across the team. + Resolve high-impact technical issues by applying deep system knowledge and sound engineering judgment. + Collaborate closely with architecture, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to meet business objectives. **Technical Skills & Expertise** **Java & Backend Development** + Java, Spring Boot, Java EE concepts + Build tools: Maven, Gradle + API design and documentation using OpenAPI / Swagger + API testing using Postman + Unit and integration testing using JUnit and Mockito **DevOps, CI/CD & Automation** + Jenkins + Tekton + Harness + Git-based branch and release management + CI/CD pipeline design, optimization, and governance + Infrastructure and environment automation **Containerization & Orchestration** + Docker, containerization + Kubernetes (K8s) + OpenShift (enterprise Kubernetes platform) **Monitoring, Logging & Observability** + ELK Stack (Elasticsearch) + Splunk + AppDynamics **Engineering Productivity & AI Enablement** + Effective use of **AI-powered developer tools** (e.g., Copilot, Devin) for: + Code generation and review + Automation acceleration + Debugging and productivity improvements **Qualifications** + **8-12 years of relevant experience** in enterprise application development using Java technologies. + Strong experience combining **application development with DevOps and platform responsibilities** . + Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives across development, deployment, and operations. + Experience working in **large-scale, regulated, high-availability environments** . + Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder collaboration skills. + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
