Key Skills: Oracle DBA, Scripting, Automation, Troubleshooting, Retail Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage Oracle databases (19c and above) in 24x7 production environments, ensuring stability and availability
- Support high availability setups including RAC and Data Guard, including ongoing operational health checks
- Perform proactive monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning using SQL, AWR, ASH, and execution plans
- Execute database patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities while minimizing downtime and risk
- Manage backup and recovery using RMAN and validate DR readiness; troubleshoot production incidents and drive root cause analysis
- Automate routine tasks using Shell, Python, or Ansible and support cloud-based database environments on Azure and GCP Skills Required:
- 7
- 10 years of relevant experience in Oracle DBA/enterprise database operations
- Oracle DBA experience with strong ownership of production database operations
- Expertise in RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and RMAN for high availability and recovery
- Performance tuning experience using SQL, AWR, ASH, and execution plans
- Linux/Unix administration fundamentals and hands-on scripting/automation (Shell, Python, Ansible) Positive to Have:
- Exposure to cloud migrations and hybrid architectures
- Familiarity with Postgres or MySQL environments
- Experience with monitoring tools like OEM, Prometheus, and Grafana
- Knowledge of DevOps practices
