Founded in 2017, today, Satvic Movement has exploded into a thriving community of thousands of people across India, becoming one of the largest health revolutions in the nation.Role&Responsibilities Your job is to make sure every single rupee that comes in and goes out of Satvic Movement is tracked perfectly. You will handle our daily accounts and maintain the financial health of the organization so the rest of the team can focus on our mission. (Note: We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2-3 years of solid accounting experience for this role.)1. Success in 90 Days Perfect Books: Your daily accounts match our bank statements perfectly without any unexplained missing money. Audit Ready: Our external CA has exactly what they need from you to do a smooth quarterly audit. On-Time Payments: Everyone (our team, vendors, and farmers) gets paid accurately and exactly on time.2. What You Will Do Daily Accounting: You don't just do data entry; you actually understand accounting. You handle journal entries, accounts payable (who we owe), and accounts receivable (who owes us) using software like Zoho or Tally. Understand the Big Picture: You know how to generate, read, and explain basic financial reports like the Profit&Loss statement, Balance Sheet, and Trial Balance. Handle the Tax Basics: You have a solid overall understanding of Indian tax compliance. You know how GST and TDS work, how to calculate them, and how to record them properly before handing the data to our CA. Track the Money: You check our bank accounts to make sure the revenue from our website, book sales, and workshops has actually arrived and matches the sales numbers.Pay the Bills: You make sure our team's salaries and our vendors' payments are processed on time and accurately.
