Mechanical Inspector - Sattur

Role & responsibilities
- Conduct Mechanical Inspections on Plant Machinery and Equipments to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety regulations
- Perform tests and measurements on mechanical components to evaluate performance and diagnose mechanical problems
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Create inspection reports and maintain accurate records of inspections
- Communicate findings and recommendations to maintenance teams and follow-up for closure.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians and other professionals to resolve technical issues related to mechanical systems.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, trends, best practices to improve the quality of inspections and testing.
- Support in planning and developing preventive maintenance strategies to ensure optimal performance and longevity of plant equipment’s.
- Ensure Compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain in depth knowledge of the condition of the plant equipment on a continuous basis
- of the designated area.
- Ensure the planned inspection of all equipment of above area and initiate work order based on inspection results, including safety checks. In case of anomaly, performs first analysis and defines priorities for each action.
- Monitor and co-ordinate condition predictors, for all critical equipment of above area.
- Follow-up and update preventive maintenance schedule
- Validate and update equipment specification files and history sheets.
- Evaluate and improve the preventive maintenance job-plans (from supplier’s recommendation if existing), create and update the corresponding inspection job-plans, in co-ordination with the planner and execution department.
- Ensure systematic review, application and optimization of PM check.
- Contributes to the analysis of failures and problems, recommending corrective actions
- Proposes economic ways to extend the life of plant equipment
