Role Description We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to design and build agentic AI workflows that automate complex supply chain and operations use cases end-to-end—from data ingestion to reasoning to action. You’ll work closely with the founder, founding engineers, and design to turn real-world planning and logistics problems into robust, production-ready AI systems. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants ownership: you’ll ship features, shape the technical roadmap, and influence how we use AI across the product. What you'll do
- Design and implement agentic AI workflows that orchestrate multi-step reasoning and actions across ERPs, planning tools, WMS/TMS, and other SaaS systems.
- Build and evolve our AI services layer: prompt/graph design, tool-calling, retrieval, memory, evaluation, and safety controls.
- Work on data pipelines that ingest, clean, and normalize operational data from multiple systems (files, APIs, databases) into a zero-copy architecture.
- Collaborate with product and customers to translate S&OP;, logistics, and planning workflows into clear specs and then into shipped features.
- Instrument, monitor, and continuously improve agent behavior: reliability, latency, cost, and quality of decisions.
- Contribute to core platform/backend work (APIs, orchestration, queues, job runners, observability) as needed in a true startup environment.
- Help define engineering best practices for AI development: evaluation harnesses, offline tests, regression suites, and guardrails.
- Mentor other engineers as the team grows and help shape our technical culture. What we're looking for
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2+ years working directly with modern AI/ML or LLM-based systems.
- Strong coding skills in Python (and ideally TypeScript/Node or similar) with a track record of shipping production systems.
- Experience building with LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and frameworks for tool use / agents / workflows (LangChain, Semantic Kernel, custom frameworks, etc.).
- Solid understanding of retrieval, context management, and evaluation for LLM-based systems.
- Comfort working with data: SQL, basic data modeling, and building integrations with third‑party APIs.
- Product mindset: you care about solving user problems, not just building technically interesting systems.
- Bias to action: you’re comfortable with ambiguity, can break down messy real-world workflows, and iterate quickly with customers. Nice to have
- Background in optimization, operations research, or decision-support systems.
- Experience in B2B SaaS or early-stage startups.
- Familiarity with modern cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), containers, and observability tools.
