Accounts Assistant (R.S. Puram)

The Accounts Assistant is responsible for supporting the finance and accounts department in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting procedures. The role involves handling day-to-day accounting activities, assisting with audits, and coordinating with vendors, customers, and internal departments. Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Bookkeeping
- Record and maintain daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Prepare and post journal entries, payment vouchers, and receipts.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and supporting documentation.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual account closing activities. Accounts Payable
- Verify supplier invoices and process payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor due dates and ensure timely payments to suppliers. Accounts Receivable
- Generate customer invoices and payment follow-ups.
- Record customer receipts and maintain receivable records.
- Assist in monitoring outstanding balances and collections. Bank & Cash Management
- Perform bank reconciliations and cash reconciliations.
- Record and monitor petty cash transactions.
- Assist in managing daily cash flow requirements. Tax & Compliance
- Assist in preparing GST, TDS, and other statutory filings.
- Maintain records required for tax and regulatory compliance.
