Title : QA Automation Engineer

Location : Remote / Hyderabad (Hybrid)

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated QA Automation Engineer with solid experience in building and maintaining automated test frameworks for web and API testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cypress or Playwright, a positive grasp of testing best practices, and working knowledge of CI/CD integration and agile processes. This role is suited for someone who takes ownership of quality, communicates well with development teams, and is keen to grow in a product-focused workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Cypress or Playwright.

• Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web, API, and regression testing.

• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and contribute to test strategies.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).

• Identify, report, and track defects; work with the team to ensure timely resolution.

• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, contributing to test coverage and release readiness.

• Analyse test results and suggest improvements to test coverage and efficiency.

• Support performance and compatibility testing initiatives as required.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks using Cypress or Playwright (mandatory).

• Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript for scripting and test development.

• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent).

• Exposure to CI/CD pipeline integration (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI).

• Familiarity with version control systems (Git / GitHub / Bitbucket).

• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Experience with test management tools such as Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, or Xray.

• Basic exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

• Good analytical, debugging, and documentation skills.

• Nice to have: familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter, k6) or security testing basics.

Required Qualifications

• 4 – 7 years of hands-on experience in QA automation testing.
