User Experience Designer (Bangalore Division)

User Experience Designer (Bangalore Division)
Description
THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for a seasoned Senior UX Designer to shape how our users experience our products at every touchpoint. With 7+ years of hands-on design practice, you bring deep expertise in user research, interaction design, and systems thinking — translating complex business and user needs into intuitive, elegant product experiences. You will work at the intersection of strategy and craft: informing roadmaps, driving design systems, and mentoring a growing team of designers — all while staying close to the pixels. REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of hands-on design practice Must-Have User Research & Discovery
- Plan and conduct mixed-methods user research: in-depth interviews, contextual inquiry, diary studies, surveys, and moderated/unmoderated usability sessions.
- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative research data into actionable insights, personas, jobs-to-be-done frameworks, and opportunity maps.
- Collaborate with data analytics teams to pair behavioral data with attitudinal research for a full-spectrum understanding of user behavior.
- Champion continuous discovery practices — embedding lightweight research rituals into every sprint and feature cycle.
- Present research findings persuasively to product, engineering, and executive stakeholders, influencing roadmap prioritization. Interaction Design & Prototyping
- Own end-to-end interaction design: from rough concept sketches through structured wireframes to pixel-perfect, high-fidelity prototypes.
- Design complex flows and edge cases with rigor — accounting for error states, empty states, loading states, and responsive breakpoints.
- Create interactive prototypes in Figma or Framer to communicate behavior, transitions, and micro-interactions to engineers and stakeholders.
- Apply established design patterns while pushing beyond convention where user needs demand it — balancing familiarity with innovation.
- Ensure all interaction designs meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards; advocate for inclusive design from the earliest stages.
- Using AI to generate High-fidelity prototyping for complex flows. Design Systems & Visual Craft
- Contribute to and evolve a mature design system: define, document, and maintain components, tokens, patterns, and usage guidelines.
- Drive design system adoption across product teams; partner with frontend engineers on component implementation and handoff quality.
- Establish and uphold visual design standards: typography scales, color systems, spacing grids, iconography, and motion guidelines.
- Conduct design QA against shipped features — reviewing builds against specs and raising regressions with engineers before release. Product Strategy & UX Leadership
- Partner with product managers and engineers from discovery through delivery — contributing UX strategy to feature planning and OKRs.
- Facilitate design thinking workshops, co-creation sessions, and design sprints with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Map end-to-end user journeys and service blueprints to identify systemic gaps, friction points, and strategic design opportunities.
- Define and track UX success metrics — task completion rates, error rates, time-on-task, NPS, and CSAT — alongside product KPIs.
- Own and communicate the design rationale behind decisions; document design intent in Confluence or Notion for long-term reference. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
- Present design work clearly and confidently to diverse audiences — from weekly sprint reviews to quarterly executive briefings.
- Translate ambiguous or conflicting stakeholder requirements into transparent, actionable design briefs and structured problem statements.
- Manage design feedback loops constructively: solicit, prioritize, and integrate feedback while maintaining design integrity.
- Collaborate with engineers on feasibility, trade-offs, and implementation fidelity — advocating for the user experience throughout development.
- Nice-2-have
- Data visualisation / dashboard UX experience
- Mobile native design
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for dev handoff Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.in/job/4mxc4h
