Production Manager (Coimbatore)

Dear Candidate, We have a requirement for Production Manager for Isha Life, Coimbatore. Please find below the job details: Job Responsbilities: 1. Production Planning & Control
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans
- Align production with demand forecasts and sales orders
- Optimize manpower, machine utilization, and capacity
- Ensure on-time batch execution as per BMR/BPR 2. GMP & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to WHO GMP and FSSAI (for food)
- Maintain clean room discipline and hygiene standards
- Ensure proper gowning, sanitation, and cross-contamination control
- Participate in regulatory and customer audits 3. Batch Manufacturing & Documentation
- Execute production as per: BMR, BPR and other quality documents
- Ensure real-time documentation (no backdating)
- Verify critical process parameters and in-process checks
- Coordinate with QA for line clearance and batch release 4. Quality Assurance Coordination
- Work closely with QA/QC teams , Ensure in-process quality checks (IPQC)
- Handle deviations, OOS, and non-conformance‘s , Support CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) 5. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen practices
- Reduce wastage, rework, and downtime
- Improve yield and productivity
- Monitor KPIs:
- OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency)
- Batch cycle time
- Rejection rates 6. Manpower Management
- Train operators on SOPs and GMP practices
- Allocate shifts and responsibilities
- Monitor discipline and productivity
- Develop skill matrix and competency levels 7. Equipment & Maintenance Coordination
- Ensure machines are Qualification, calibrated and validated
- Coordinate preventive maintenance (PM)
- Minimize breakdowns and downtime
- Ensure proper cleaning (CIP/SIP in pharma/food) 8. Safety & Hygiene Management
- Ensure compliance with safety norms (PPE, hazard control)
- Implement food safety systems like HACCP
- Maintain workplace cleanliness (5S system)
- Conduct safety drills and risk assessments 9. Inventory & Material Control
- Coordinate with warehouse for RM/PM availability
- Avoid stock-outs and overstocking
- Ensure FEFO/FIFO compliance
- Control batch traceability 10. Audit & Inspection Readiness
- Prepare for:
- Internal audits
- Regulatory inspections
- Customer audits
- Ensure documentation and shop-floor readiness
- Close audit observations within timelines 11. Recent Product & Technology Transfer
- Support R&D; during scale-up trials
- Handle pilot batches and validation batches
- Ensure smooth technology transfer to production 12. Reporting & Communication
- Daily production reports (DPR)
- Downtime and deviation reports
- Coordination with:
- QA, QC, R&D;, Maintenance and SCM Key Skills Required
- Strong GMP & regulatory knowledge
- Documentation accuracy
- Leadership & team management
- Problem-solving & root cause analysis
